Bear Viewing Adventures

Join us on a trip into the Tongass National Forrest on an adventure to see Ursus arctos horribilis (Brown Bears) or Ursus americanus (Black Bears) in their native habitats feeding on wild Alaskan salmon. We offer two different types of Bear viewing trips, Anan Creek Wildlife Observatory, or the Dog Salmon Creek Wildlife Viewing site. On both trips you will get a narrated float plane ride out to the viewing area and have the opportunity to see bears, the main difference is that Anan Creek is much more restricted and exclusive due to permitting and the fact that you will have the chance to see both black bears AND brown bears. Both trips are fully guided by our experienced bear guides who will educate you on the life history of the bears and keep you safe while viewing.
